How to start a event planning business?
I want to start my own event planning business. I just need the basics. Is there anything special I need in order to start my business, like a degree, or can i just make it up and go from there?
No degree needed. The best way to drum up business is word of mouth. Put together some smaller events for friends, family, and close acquaintances. A long and strong referral list is what you need. Have a business plan; what kind of events do you want to specialize in?
Other than that go for it as you go along.

It is better to be associated with a Event Management Company of your reach for some time. This will give you a clear cut understanding of business of this nature first. In this way you may find a chance to plan an event on live basis. Having matured and experianced in this way, it will be easy for you to start your own event planning business.
