Pet Business Ideas – How To Convert Your Passion For Pets Into A Profitable Business Startup?
Brainstorming ideas for a pet sitting business and more. Specially those involving everyone’s favorite animal – Dogs!
1. Start a pet bakery business with doggie treats, fresh-baked cookies & ’scooby snacks’. Try some innovative dog recipes and brand them as your own.
2. Start a pet salon with affordable hair & skin treatments for neighborhood pets. This could include hair cuts & manicures, a mobile dog grooming service or detox solutions for dog skin problems.
3. Start a pet sitting business (doggie day care) for busy pet owners and others who want someone trusted to take care of their pets. There’s also the overnight pet care business if you’re looking for something different.
4. Start a pet rescue and/or first aid service to cater to the needs of trapped pets till animal rescue arrives. This could even be in an assistive role to animal rescue personnel, if you have the necessary experience.
5. Start a pet adoption business and recruit a few volunteers to help out on evenings or weekends. Create a simple database or website of homeless pets and help connect them with people looking to adopt a pet.
You could do any or all of the above in association with qualified people from the neighborhood — e.g., animal lovers, vets, members from PETA and similar organizations. It’s a good way to cater to your passion for pets while also running a wonderful and profitable business.

Hey!!! I was actually thinking about this not to long ago, Since I don’t plan on using this idea I will be happily willingly to share it with you… In the city it’s hard to get your dog outside or have places where your dog can really enjoy themselves. I came up with an idea of an INDOOR doggie park, with little stores on the side to cater to dogs needs etc… this may take some major funding but I thought this would be great. They would have memberships and it would professionally staffed. While owners can relax and enjoy a cafe and free wi-fi for internet connections. Also too, you can have grooming, kennels, and doggies stores within the plaza. Also there should be a small connection to some land outside for summer fun.
If you aren’t thinking about something that major you can do what my best friend did,
my best friend started an online home made doggie gourmet treats and selling other small products- http://www.distinctivedog.com
Good luck!
