What generic business level strategy does Starbucks most closely follow?
Does Starbucks follow a differentiation strategy, an overall cost leadership strategy, a focus strategy or does it follow a hybrid strategy?
I’m thinking it follows what is primarily a differentiation strategy, but has elements of a focus strategy – many would say that it caters to a more affluent, "focused" demographic.
They follow the same practices as the Tobacco companies "when they are addicted they will always comeback"
