In no part of this question was Microsoft even remotely mentioned

I really dont think apple has as much to lose as microsoft. apple people are apple people, and windows people are could-be linux people. Perhaps they should rethink their business strategy to adjust to upcoming changes, but like i said dont have as much to lose as windows.

No. Even though Linux is becoming more popular, it is still not a major contender. It tends to appeal only to techies and Apple has their niche with students and the creative types.

heck no, they still have 90% of the market share left to fight for. i think its time for microsoft to rethink their business strategy and realize they cant keep using their monopoly as a crutch while the crutch is snapping into pieces

the current business strategy that they got is probably the most lethal blow microsoft has ever taken

Windows can kick Apple and Linux to the ground and crouch on them over and over.

And yes, linux is being distributed for free and it is open source. Apple has some catching up to do =)

Ok well um, you all are weird mac and linux lovers apparently and you can suck my brownies >_< Get Windows 7 or you fail at life.

Well linux isn’t bad but mac is horrible. Try a pc before giving me a bad rating!!!

Personally, I think they are fine.
Apple’s computers have better hardware, and for one reason. They were the first to come out with things… (Like USB 2.0)
Thats the big reason mac users turn to mac.

Personally, I think the only one who has to worry is Microsoft. (Hope they go down!!!! :D )
When the Google Chrome OS comes out (which I found out they used the core of Linux… lol) Microsoft will be in trouble, because Google is huge…

    Edit:
Okay, the person above me is a total DUMB ASS
    Windows sucks BALLS
They have not had a good OS to date! The closest they have had is XP.

Oh, and fun fact. Someone found windows source code, and in the code you can type // and type notes… apparently there is a lot of naughty naughty words :D
Oh, and for Windows 7… They just edited Vistas code… Its just Vista with more shit that will crash…

So you gay little Microsoft fan boy, learn your facts before you post shit…

Apple rethink their business strategy, they have been doing just that for a long time, You know as well as I know, Apple is hurting in the PC/Laptops market from Linux, Netbooks/Notebooks just like Microsoft is hurting, Now Apple iPhones are about to take a big hit from Linux as well,

I feel the Apple is about to fall from the tree

From a personal perspective using Linux, when the developers of Linux start writing software to match that of Apple, then Apple has no worry about the existence of Linux. I realize Linux has plenty of software and quite a few of those are commercial grade programs. I simple mean the base system supplied needs a few things that are better than what it already has. I can’t knock Linux because that is the operating system that I use and by choice. I work with Unix, Linux and Windows so there are many issues I could compare between the operating systems.
