I am helping a friend with some homework. The assignment is to create a business plan and create and fill out tax forms for that business. What are some of the things that we should consider?
Go to http://www.sba.gov , http://www.score.org or http://www.bplan.com for instructions on how to write a business plan and sample business plans.
Where can I find a sample business plan for a pet store?
I need to write a business plan for college and I’d love to find some samples. It can be either animal/reptile breeding, pet supply(online or retail business) or pet store. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Hi Melissa…it is difficult to provide a business plan for pet store businesses since these always are so different from one another.

How do I write an executive summary in a business plan?
I have to do a business plan as an assignment and every part of this plan is giving me trouble, but the executive summary the most. So if someone could help me by telling what exactly I should put in it, the format of it and how long it should be that would be great. Thank you so much!
Bplans.com has a good site explaining the Executive Summary section of a business plan. They even have some sample executive summaries that you can check

How Important is it to write out a formal business plan if I have my own funding for a new business?
Will I need it for anything else besides applying for loans? I have an outline, but not a "formal" business plan written out.
A business plan is more than just for financing, it provides structure for 1 and 5 years. If you happen to either save in one area or overspend. The first 5years are crucial you may go almost one year without showing a profit.
Here are some other things you might want to consider:
How are you listed? Sole Proprietor, S Corp, C Corp LLC
How are you doing your bookkeeping, receipts, invoices. are you adequately staffed?
Do you have the right insurance in place?
Legal Counsel? Document review, handle questions at an affordable price?
Marketing advice?
Human Resource questions answered?
Free listing to get your company the exposure needed from others?
If you need a resource or website to help let me know? I just want to make sure you have a good chance to succeed.
Can people with little income and a good business plan get a business loan from the bank?
I have a very limited personal income and cannot raise much captial for my business plan from others and myself. I want to know if it is really possible for someone with a well laid out plan to get a small business loan from a financial institution? I am sure it is possible, but really a decent chance?
Honestly, it will be VERY HARD.
Banks will not even read your business plan, no matter how good it is, if you have limited personal income.
For one, they will require you to put up equity investment — they will not give you 100% of what you need but wants to see that you yourself has invested money in your business
Then they’ll look for collateral. They need to see that they can get something when you cannot pay your loan
Banks only want one thing — to get their money back, with earnings. Having limited income does not give them assurance that they can get their money back. What if the business fails? What if you cannot make it work because of limited experience in the business?
There’s so many what ifs, and if you cannot assure them that you can repay the loan and interest, then they’re not going to give you a loan no matter how excellent the business plan sounds like on paper.
How do you write a business plan for an adult company/porn?
I am working on starting a adult company in nothern New Jersey. I would like the answer or answers on writing a business plan and getting investors or lenders for an adult business company.
It’s just like any business plan.
Instead of spending the time, money, and effort to build a plan. Why don’t you open up an online website with live feeds, or shoot the porn and then stream it up there from the web?
There’s a ton of websites that will link their site to your’s.
How much would you spend on a Business Plan?
Just a Business Plan only, not the Marketing. I construct professional-grade business plans & marketing plans that really are the cream of the crop. I have expertise and $5,000 worth of software and an established list of contacts, and offer support on demand. Recently, because of client growth, I have hired others to form teams to complete project goals, but I want to pay them a yearly salary above 50,000. What do you think is the lowest rate I should offer for a level 1 plan. All of you in my eyes are potential clients and I want to make it as affordable for you as possible and still give my employee well deserved checks. SO WHAT WOULD YOU SPEND ON A PROFESSIONAL-GRADE BUSINESS PLAN?
How about $1500-$2000. I am guessing that you would spend no less than 40 hours (writing, analyzing, talking to your client to get information) to write the business plan.
What is a treatment for a business plan?
I’ve been asked to write a treatment for the business plan I am developing. I know what goes into a business plan and I have a vague understanding that a treatment is a summary or abstract, but is there anything specific that needs to be included in the treatment?
A vision statement?
A mission?
Please, serious and informed answers only–no burn outs just taking a guess.
Treatment means to explain what you will classify your business as in the the market place.
How can I find anyone to give a business loan to a 24 yr. old that has a great business plan for a laundromat?
I am looking to start a laundry service/laundromat in my hometown. I have a superb business plan and location(location is everything!) for this business. The problem is MONEY! $250,000 to be exact. Of the 5 aspects banks/investors look for, I only have 3.
1. Experience – I have been a store manager in the retail
sector for 4 years, and have handled P&L businesses quite well.
2. Credit Score – My credit is around 770
3. Business Plan- Amazing business plan for the laundry business (have read books, websites, join memberships over the last 3 months to gain better insight of laundry service).
4. Equity-NONE. Just had a baby with my ex-girlfriend which drained all my savings.
5. Collateral-NONE. Not too many 24 year olds have enough collateral at this point.
My family members have all owned their own businesses. I know what it takes to run your own business. I know that if banks/investors could see my work ethic and enthusiasm they would help me. CAN YOU?
