Empty The Bowl
This lesson was pretty easy and all the children really and truly enjoyed it. This activity allows for teacher observation and less teaching which is a huge strength. Ny and Kamie gave up playing after several games, but the older kids started taking tallies to see who wins the most games. Another strength of this activity is its versatility. I used my daughter’s crayons instead of cubes or counters and the in a dish bowl. This activity lead to its own extension of counting how my games each player wins. I did not encounter any weaknesses for this particular activity.
