The real trick is to get the business to understand their audience and objectives. This business could be one of those rare cases that has as much business as they need (or want).

Get them to think about what kind of customer they currently have, then they need think about what their *ideal* customer would look like.

Also, get to understand what their objectives would be for their business. Do they want more foot traffic? Do they want to increase their cost-per-sale? Do they want to be perceived as an expert in their market? Do they want more sales volume (even at the expense of cost-per-sale)? Maybe they want more people to purchase from their website rather than from their physical location...

If you can get the business to think critically about these things, and give you honest answers, then you can develop a marketing and advertising plan to help them reach their target audience and obtain their objectives.

The final hurdle you'll need to overcome is price. However, if you TRULY understand their audience and objectives, price won't be an issue if you develop a plan that gets results. If their goal is to sell 100 more widgets at $10 each, and you present them with a plan that will accomplish that for $100, then it should be a no-brainer!
