I am thinking about starting my own business, but I don’t know where to start. What do I need to do?

I have been interested in starting a business for a long time, but I don’t know what is involved in setting up.

Can anyone advise me on the steps I need to take to ensure everything is done to meet legal and tax requirements?

Thanks in advance!

Lawyers and CPAs can advise you on these steps. You need to consult local professionals, as all localities have different hoops to jump through when starting up a business.

Your best strategy is to talk with a financial planner. As for the legal and tax stuff head to the county offices and talk to the clerk about applying for a business license and the requirements for local and state taxes.
